Architecture
Our School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape is partly located in the Quadrangle, the oldest part of the University campus.
The School is one of the few in the UK focusing exclusively on the built environment. Architecture students have access to the Architecture Building 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can also use the dedicated studio spaces at all times.
Armstrong Building
The Armstrong Building is the site of the original Armstrong College founded in 1871. The building is home to a number of subject areas and the King's Hall where our free weekly lunchtime concerts and graduate ceremonies are held.
Baddiley-Clark Building
The Baddiley-Clark Building provides a central hub for the world-leading research carried out by the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
Newcastle University Business School
Our Business School's brand new state of the art single-site complex is located at the centre of business and commercial development in Newcastle.
Fine Art Building
Our impressive Fine Art Building is in the University's historic Quadrangle. As well as outstanding facilities: purpose-built studios, exhibition spaces and fully staffed printmaking, metalwork, woodwork and digital media workshops, it also houses a student-run café, and the Fine Art Shop.
The Herschel Building
The Herschel Building houses a number of large lecture theatres and teaching facilities.
INTO Building
Our purpose built INTO building is home to state-of-the-art teaching facilities for our International INTO students. Situated in the heart of the campus, close to the city centre, students benefit from a dining area, science lab and learning resource centre.
Language Resource Centre
Our award-winning Language Resource Centre is a specialist language facility providing free access to self-study materials in over 150 languages.
Law school
Our Law School is self-contained with a newly refurbished lecture theatre, student communal area and law library.
Medical School
The Medical School is located next to Newcastle's largest hospital, the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Facilities include fully equipped lecture theatres; specialist practical laboratories; an extensive medical sciences library; and dedicated computer clusters.
Music Building
Home to specialist music facilities, this £4.5 million building was designed with performance and studio-based work in mind. Situated in the heart of the campus students benefit from; teaching studios, flexible working spaces, a large band practice room, 3 acoustic instrumental tuition rooms, 10 practice spaces and a large band practice room.
Philip Robinson Library
The Philip Robinson Library is the University's main library, part of our library service which has won several awards for customer service. The library is open 24/7 during term time.
