We have a range of scholarships available for Marine Technology students.

Details
An annual award of £6,250 is available to a Stage 4 MEng student who has received the best-graded project in Stage 3.
The award will be paid when the successful candidate registers for Stage 4.
Eligibility
Stage 3 student going onto a MEng course in the School of Engineering.

Details
10 scholarships are available to Cypriot or Greek citizens studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the UK.
An amount of 10,000 Euro per scholarship shall be awarded based on the academic merit and financial status of the participants who aim to pursue a professional career in the Maritime Industry.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award you must:
- Be a Cypriot or Greek citizen
Prospective undergraduate student:
- Certificate of acceptance from a respective University.
- A-levels in Mathematics or Physics (minimum B grade) will be considered
Current undergraduate student:
- Average yearly grade over 60% or 2:1.
Current postgraduate student:
- At least a 2:1 honours degree

Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is available to undergraduate students from the North East, commencing their degree programme at Newcastle University in either the:
- School of Natural and Environmental Sciences
- School of Engineering
- School of Mathematics
- Statistics and Physics
- School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences
How to Apply
The scholarship will be awarded to one student who comes from an underprivileged background. Applications will be judged on academic potential, enthusiasm, and aptitude for the chosen programme of study.
To be eligible for this award, you must be a Year 1 undergraduate home student in the School of:
- Engineering
- Natural and Environmental Sciences
- Mathematics Statistics and Physics
- Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences
Preference will be given to students who lived in one of the following locations on application to Newcastle University:
- Northumberland
- North Tyneside
- the City of Newcastle
- Gateshead
- South Tyneside
- the City of Sunderland
- County Durham
You must also demonstrate in your application your commitment to your studies and aspirations for your future, and how the scholarship will make a difference to you.
Applications for 2023-24 are now closed.
Applications for 2024-25 will open in Spring Term 2024.
Notice of Award
You will be informed by advancementscholarships@newcastle.ac.uk or the Student Financial Support Team by the end of the Autumn Term if you were successful in receiving the scholarship.
Conditions of scholarship
All scholarship recipients are asked to provide an introductory profile when they first receive the award, and an annual update report in Spring/Summer to inform their donor of their progress. You will be contacted to provide these reports with plenty of notice. Recipients are required to be available to meet the donors and participate in the promotion of student support activity at Newcastle University if requested.

One scholarship of £2000 is available each year to Marine Technology students.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award you must be:
- an undergraduate home student, ordinarily resident in the UK
- studying a Marine Technology course within the School of Engineering
Awarding is based on academic ability and financial need.

The award is given out to stage one students following semester one exam results.

The UKNEST Scholarship Scheme is open to students studying on any STEM subject degree in the UK. The scholarship scheme offers the following benefits:
