Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

We are pleased to offer 28 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply for full-time undergraduate study at Newcastle University.

Available scholarships

There are 26up to 50% tuition fee scholarships and2 100% tuition fee scholarships.

50% or 100% of tuition fees

Start date and duration

September 2024 for the full duration of the degree programme

Application closing date

  • 25th April 2024 - Kenya, Palestine, South Africa, Tanzania, Ukraine 

  • 9th May 2024 – India, Malaysia, Turkey, USA

Eligibility criteria

50% scholarships

To be considered for the up to 50% scholarships applicants must: 

  • be domiciled in one of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, Palestine, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, USA 
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes:  
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year 
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent 

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

100% scholarships

To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must: 

  • be domiciled in one the following countries: India, Ukraine, USA, 
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes 
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2024/25 academic year 
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent 

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
